Brief

This project involved the complete transformation of a developer-owned townhouse in the heart of Mount Maunganui. Original 1990s beach townhouse, the home underwent a full reclad and extensive interior and exterior renovation, creating an entirely refreshed and modernised space while remaining connected to its coastal setting.

The design brief was to create a light, bright Hamptons-luxe aesthetic that still felt authentic and relevant to Mount Maunganui’s beachside lifestyle. The result is a beautifully layered, multi-level townhouse designed as the perfect holiday retreat or home.

A palette of warm whites, durable yet elegant wood oak look flooring, subtle brass detailing, and a shaker style kitchen in a soft greige tone creates a timeless and inviting foundation throughout the home. In the bathrooms, warm beige tones and timber vanities bring softness and texture, while refined brass accents add a sense of understated luxury.

As the property was being prepared for market, it was important to create a home with broad appeal — one that felt elevated yet approachable. A neutral, cohesive base allows future owners to easily personalise the space through furniture, artwork, and styling, making it truly their own.
