My Style
My aesthetic is combining all the pieces I love and making it work. I do love white! A fresh, base canvas for the rest of your interiors. I’m a big believer in using special pieces of furniture or artwork you own and integrate them into a design. It’s not about mindlessly buying new items; it’s about curating a home that reflects your unique style. Whether you embrace minimalism, despising any hint of clutter, or you revel in an eclectic mix of styles, I am here to help you seamlessly merge it all together. I also think buying more classic, quality pieces that are timeless – that defy the passing trends. Let’s embark on a journey of transforming your space into a reflection of you!
My approach
I would classify myself as an Interior Decorator, where my skill set is furniture selection, soft furnishings, room layouts, paint colours, light fittings, window furnishings, art and decor.
My specialty is furniture sourcing. I love connecting with people and working out what pieces will work best for their aesthetic and lifestyle. I like to then present them with a mood board which is a great visual way to show them how everything will work together. Below is a guide to the process I follow:

Additionally I can also then style your new furnishings in your home too. Due to the way I work I can also do this process above online so you could live anywhere in NZ.
My Network
We have a great variety of Suppliers over NZ. How it works, is that purchasing goes through Nicola Travis Interiors in order to access the trade discounts. While we pass on part of the discount to you, we also retain part of it (depending on the level of discount). The reason being I’ve worked hard to create supplier relationships, and we need to create a sustainable business model.
